When you hear of an artist that sings and song writes the reaction is usually one of interest and amazement; but what would the reaction be if you found out the singer/songwriter also produces too……?!!KCAT (pronounced†Catâ€) is a performing artist who has plenty to offer. Hailing from North London, she has dazzled audiences since the tender age of 13, always stealing the show at local talent contests and showcases. As her family willed her on to continue, it was evident that KCAT had a special talent on her hands. She became well known within the Filipino community throughout her teens as the young starlet, delivering power ballads effortlessly at festivals and beauty pageants. KCAT was equally popular when she performed at London venues such as Alexandra Palace and Jazz Café, winning every competition in sight. Aged 17, she won the inter-college talent competition, a contest won previously by Daniel and Natasha Beddingfield.KCAT soon endured a couple of bad experiences, both professionally with other management companies, and on a personal level as well. Most would lock themselves away from the world, but not KCAT. She had drawn what positives she could out of the situations, thus helping her evolve as a song writer. Live performances continued and recording sessions with producers also followed. KCAT was becoming an accomplished artist and song writer, plus she was developing an impressive understanding of music production. It was at a bar in Camden where she was performing the classic “Please Help Me I’m Fallingâ€, when we were grateful to stumble across KCAT. Her warm, bubbly personality was evident from her performance on stage. It was plainly obvious from then that a star was in our midst! MINDSET approached her after the gig and forged a blossoming business relationship.KCAT has since busy touring all over Britain at all music lover hotspots, plus enjoying extensive airplay on BBC Radio 1xtra, Choice Fm and Galaxy Fm of dance track “Get Off The Wall†to be released on promo in May/June 2007.
KCAT will also enjoy success this year as a featured vocalist on new label Muck n Brass’s dance release “My Destinyâ€, which has been a massive club anthem for production duo Delinquent (Usher/Natasha Bedingfield remixers).Being unique, different and standing out from the rest are arguably the most important attributes a modern day artist must have. KCAT is a performing artist who has it all. She has a beautiful ethereal voice, together with her international, vibrant sound, the listener is sure to be taken on an interesting journey.
