My name is Eugene M. Smith III "Tre". I am married to the only person I think alive that can tame down Tre Smith...I married my heart and soul, Ms. April Walters. We married on December 4, 2004 and my life hasn't been the same since and I mean that in all the good ways possible. April has really been the blueprint of what a wife should, could and would be in my eyes. She makes me laugh at myself, laugh at her, and really stands beside me in everything thing I do no matter what the circumstance.
I was born and still reside in Lumberton, NC, only child of Rudine and Eugene Smith...pretty much sheltered childhood-adolescence...you know the whole curfew and be aware of your surroundings jargon. I graduated from UNC - Pembroke with Bachelor of Science in Business Administration cont. in Management.
I bumped into the world of independent wrestling through a childhood friend, Ashley Walker. He introduced me to wrestling trainer Marty Garner at OMEGA Dojo East "House of Pain" in Vass, NC. I WAS HOOKED INSTANTLY! Ashley and I both graduated from Marty's training camp on January 27, 2002, with my background predominantly being a referee. I have however partaked in some elementary basic 101 of wrestling.
I have worked for various organizations state-wide...WCEW (Hamlet-Rockingham), ACW (Laurinburg), ACPW (Roseboro-Clinton), RWC (Fayetteville-Raeford), OMEGA (Forest City-Columbus) and AWA-PPW (Hendersonville-Vass-Cameron).
I have met numerous wrestling personalities since my debut in wrestling on November 17, 2001. I have met "The Phenomenal" AJ Styles, Ernest "The Cat" Miller, "Rock-N-Roll Express" Ricky Morton, "Midnight Express" Bobby Eaton, "Russian Bear" Ivan Koloff, "The Perfect 10" Babydoll, "Prince of Punk" Shannon Moore and Matt and Jeff Hardy. The two most influential figures I have met have been Former WCW Referee Jamie Tucker and Former NWA Referee Tommy Young. I was passed the torch of referees by NWA Veteran Referee Tommy Young on November 9, 2002 in my hometown of Lumberton, NC. This was a night special to my heart, because not only did I meet Tommy Young, who was here before your Charles Robinsons, Nick Patricks and so on...I managed to referee the entire 8 match card without any other referee on the show.
On March 23, 2007 after close to 6 years on the independent scene as the World Champion of Referees...I have decided to back away from the obligations of the AWA and intend ..g my attention elsewhere.
In a different light, I am also a devoted choir member of East Lumberton Baptist Church. I occasionally sing solo performances at cantatas, musicals, dinner theatres and revivals. I have went to other churches in the county to sing at their revivals as well. I was also blessed with the opportunity to sing not one, but three songs at our local Relay for Life Luminary Service just this year!
I am a happy, go-lucky type of guy that loves the entertainment of professional wrestling and the fact that I can entertain congregations with my musical performances. THAT IS ME IN A NUTSHELL!!
