Whooppeeee! My own Bussiness. And I am a full time Single Father, But thats easy , I just ignore them.JK! I was in the Air force for 13 years. I lived in Germany for 3 years. I um, well, I dont know what else to say . I speak 2 Languages and trying to learn a Third , Espanol. Can't spell worth a Chit though. Should I admit that? Peace to all !!!! Over the past year I became very suspicious about this whole ‘soulmate’ thing. I mean, apparently 100 years ago your soul mate was most likely to live two farms over the hill, and that was it. Surely our great-grandparents had soulmates, as the divorce rate was practically nil. Once I realized that the advice received over the past 30 years may not be entirely reliable….”You’ll just know it when you meet him”, “It’ll happen when you’re not looking”, etc. etc., I decided to take a more proactive role and do the most natural thing in the 21st century….. ; . The first step with any good search is to check out the validity of the terminology of which you are working....Soulmate. The good news is that a recent Gallup poll found the majority of young people do believe in the concept of soulmates. The bad news, I think they are mostly single. Did you know the theory of a soulmate is usually credited to the philosopher Plato? He apparently suggested that a perfect human being was tragically split apart, and then we are destined to spend our whole lives trying to find our missing other. Hence, ‘better half’. Destined to spend our “whole lives”? Hmm. It appears that there are two basic camps out there…. those believing in soulmates (the romantics), and the ‘work it out’ camp. Interestingly, most marriage counselors and psychiatrists fall into the latter group, while it appears that most match.com members belong to the ‘romantic camp’. Critics of the soulmate theory say it denies the hard work required to succeed in a relationship, comparing this theory to cotton candy… something that goes down very easily without ever having to chew. The flip side, studies show, is that the romantics believing in soulmates are often more determined to make it work because it's their destiny. All very complicated. And I could go on for a while still. So, what do you think? My final analysis is this: I am going to have to stick it out with the romantic camp a bit longer. Perhaps I am idealistic or naive… but my heart says she might exist. Somewhere out there… successful in life, but knowing there must be more; loved by her family, but would love to have her own; happy because life is good, but desires something still; content, but still searching. Wonderful, but not perfect….. after all,she was tragically split, you know. ..... soulmate business aside, Where are you My Juliet???found this travel layout at HOT FreeLayouts.com :: MyHotComments
