JAKAZiD / Joshka

WHO IS HE??:
JAKAZiD is the nickname of 19-year-old dance music producer, remixer and DJ, Josh McInnes. Since an early age Josh was obsessed with dance music so it was only natural for him to want to start producing it himself eventually, and that's exactly what happened. But what does JAKAZiD mean? Is it a foreign word, an acronym, or possibly something you can chew? The answer is actually neither of these, and is somewhat of an enigma.
JAKAZiD's entrance into the hardcore scene in January '07 was via a piece of audio-visual cleaning commercial-sampling wizardry that lasted no longer than 2 minutes. The song, namely "Cillit Bang", became so ubiquitous and notorious that people wanted to literally shit in his cornflakes! With so much passion being conveyed towards this track, hard-dance label Nukleuz Records saw its potential and officially licensed the track with cult hero Barry Scott's infectious vocals. The online video racked up millions of views and the song and its remixes gained dancefloor and radio plays from DJs as Chris Moyles, Scott Mills, Paul Van Dyk, Marco V and Kutski... to name a few!
