Lil B da Chug-a-Lug Thug

Lil B grew up in Riverside South Memphis (one of the trillest hoods eva) in a 2 bedroom home with a large family. He began to watch his oldest brother (Willy Will aka W-Def) perform, dj and do commercials at a young age. Willy Will was one of the only local rappers with a professional album out of Memphis at that time. Lil B discovered that he had a passion for rap music also and he asked his big brother to let him record. He recorded his first tape at the young age of 13 and formed agroup called Front Page with his lil cousin from Detroit named K-Mac. Through out Junior High and High School, Lil B and his friends from riverside recorded several tapes from summer to summer. Lil B and his brother Steve Brat continued to make songs together and free style often. A neighboorhood friend Markus "Blak" Boyd was impressed with the energy the two had with music. Lil B, Blak and two other friends all lived together in Nashville while they were enrolled in TSU. Lil B convinced Blak to help him start a record label. Dig Dat Records was born, The Survivorz were created and they recorded their 1st album Blood, Sweat & Tearz in 1999. The label and the group suffered hardships when one of the members (Losaphe') and the CEO (Blak) were sent to the federal pen. Lil B and Steve Brat continued to run the record label with little resources and they have managed to continue to drop new albums and put out new material. They have increased the Dig Dat family and continues to support the Free Blak movement through new music. Lil B has matured greatly over the years and has grown as a solo artist also. He has featured on several mix tapes and albums over the years. He continues to rep Dig Dat Records to this day in the hopes of signing a major deal. Survivorz 4 Life!!!!
