I am here for Friends and Networking

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

People who pique my interest. I have ADD so you may have to try a little harder! Myspace is a cool site, but I'm not really into dating on here.

Music:

Rock, Alternative Rock, 80's progressive (especially the type of stuff Metropol used to play on Saturdays "back in the day."), some disco, Rap, and Hip Hop. Very few country songs, none of which have to do with losing your loved one to Cancer, pick up trucks, or slow love songs, which all sound alike BTW.

Movies:

Raiders of the Losk Ark, Star Wars Trilogy, Animal House, The Graduate, The Meaning of Life, The Holy Grail.

Television:

The Office, My Name is Earl, South Park, Grey's Anatomy, The Simpsons, Family Guy, King of the Hill, reality shows which I'm embarrassed to reveal...and Dateline NBC: To Catch a Predator.

Books:

Superfoods, Anglea's Ashes, The Search

Heroes:

My parents-yeah, that's lame, but they had to raise ME!

My Blog

Flowers

While I did write a blog about not at chicks being "diamond whores," I must admit that I am the stereotypical flower-loving chick.  Suddenly, it's spring and I'm geeked to see all the pink blosso...

My MeetIn Friends are Awesome

After a frustrating night out with various family members, after which I realized, once again, that they would never quite understand me, I left the scene, in an unhappy mood, to go hang out where I k...

Just When I Thought My Dog Was Smart

I was at my computer and Honeybun nuzzled me. "How Cute!" I thought, until I saw her muzzle covered with kitty litter. How on earth could that stuff ever taste good??!! GROSS! Guess I am taking an un...

The bad luck of the half Irish

In this case, this refers to me. My soon-to-be new supervisor walked into Panera this morning, and I had to wait on him, and his wife! I was mortified.I hadn’t mentioned working at Panera at all...

Success at Last - I Got the Job!!!

You'd think I'd have written about this the day it happened, it being such a huge event for me. But maybe I'm still waiting, being paranoid that it was too good to be true. Well, it isn't. It's for re...

"Saints and Sinners"

This isn't about the bar-crawl by the same name, which I hope to attend on Saturday. Rather, it's my commentary on a little bit of "Catholicism" I witnessed today. Warning: if you are a good little Ca...

Moments of a Weekend

Now that I work M-F daylight, I've begun to experience weekends once again (well, except for my Sunday job which I will not be at much longer). This one like any other went by all too quickly, but ha...

The Sinus Drug Man!

Today I waited on a customer; a nice middle aged gentleman in a suit who ordered a hot chocolate. He was a drug sales rep. He didn't tell me this, but I noticed the name tag on his lapel, which bore ...

WPXIs Half-assed "News" Stories

I turned on Channel 11 after work (12 if you have $%$ stupid Comcast). Anyway, the main stories were all about the snowtrifles caused by the weather...typical stuff you'd expect, unless a big murder ...
