D-TRAINED, Inc. is a company designed to improve the performance level of Elite High School, College and Professional male and female basketball players. Nicknamed “D-TRAIN” by Houston Rockets Head Coach Jeff Van Gundy and Washington Wizards Head Coach Eddie Jordan for his intense style of play and his dedicated off-season training regimen, Performance Enhancement Specialist/Author, Daryl L. Smith continues to share his formula for basketball success. In 2002, Smith developed D-TRAINED, a unique and disciplined training regimen that combines Basketball Fundamentals, Explosive Weight-Training, and Pro-Style Speed, Agility, and Conditioning. His first book entitled “12 Necessary Steps for Basketball Success” was released in 2004 followed by “Basketball Strength, Speed and Skills Volume 1” DVD in the summer of 2005. D-TRAINED has been featured on local and international television programs such as NBA’s Inside Stuff, and the WB 11 Morning News, in addition to being showcased by Nike during the “Ball on Air 360 Tour” and also serving as a the lead trainer on The 2007 Brand Jordan Breakfast Club Tour.

The D-TRAINED program has been utilized by the top players, coaches and teams at the High School, College and Professional levels throughout the world. Numerous D-TRAINED participants have continued playing at the highest levels of basketball including the ACC, Big East, Atlantic 10, Conference USA and Professional Basketball. As a former college and professional basketball player and Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, Daryl brings a wealth of knowledge and credibility with his training protocols.
