About Me

new year, new map! why wont it update though, rubbish..
insert pun here
i'm a community nurse working around london town.. those who know me tend to say i am lovely (but they might not mean it!). i would like to believe them. they also say i'm clever (innit) and funny (i hope they mean in a good way). diligent, kind, caring, honest, loyal and generally like to please people. sadly, i also care possibly a little too much about what others think.. however, i can also be quite opinionated (especially at work!).
random bits and bobs about me..
  • i love people but also find them scary.

  • honesty and courtesy are very important to me.

  • have an open mind, a frank, direct manner, a dry/risque sense of humour (no taboos!) and a tendency towards sarcasm.

  • spend too much time on-line and/or listening to lbc 97.3fm (london based talk radio station, also available on dab and on-line). a number of my myspace friends are lbc related. sounds sad? you should have a listen, it's ever-so good.

  • i enjoy using brackets / bullet points / full stops, and dislike capital letters. clearly.

  • one of my favourite things to do is watch good (live) comedy, but i don't do it enough. i am rectifying this.

  • the top 3 places i most want to visit are japan, new zealand and texas.

  • really, really love ireland, inland spain and chicago.

  • once upon a time, in the olden days, i was a brosette (and does anyone remember 'big fun'? yes, even though i'm a girl.. oh, the shame). then a goth. then a headbanger. none of these are big or clever. don't do it, kids.

  • can be a bit shy when i first meet people.. but once i get going could, quite literally, talk for england. often about the most, er, unusual topics.

  • would like to hug the world and stop people being so cold towards one another. awww.

  • please be nice to me, i am strong of mind but also a delicate flower (ok, you can stifle that laughter RIGHT NOW!).

  • My Interests

love a good show - musical/theatre/comedy, films, radio (talk/comedy), music, reading, walking, travelling (not in a backpack around the world way), good company, cheeky banter, trying to play guitar, trying to swim, getting back into taekwon do and ballroom/latin dance, good food..

clicky here! go and see richard herring, he is very good.

    I'd like to meet:

if sending a friend request, please accompany with a message. i have no interest in whatever it is you are promoting, nor do i wish to be 'yo bitch'. no pervs, on-line shaggers (seen it, done it, had t-shirt etc), or random bands. sleazy chatup lines especially unwelcome (unless intentionally ironic/witty/amusing). i like to communicate with people at least occasionally, so if you are a picture collector go elsewhere!

i reserve the right to ignore or delete without needing to defend reasons why (but persistent non-reply to messages is likely to get you deleted). and i know taekwon do, so don't try it on. ta muchly.
