Bed-Stuy Brooklyn native Magg-1 enters the game at a pivotal time. A thoroughly refreshing style storms from his music amidst the rising south's music and the east coast so called gangster rap. Magg is no stranger to the streets and life's hard lessons; this has taught him to be triumphant when oppression rears its ugly head. At the age of eight Magg witnessed his mothers murder at the hands of his own stepfather. Quickly he had to learn how to fend for himself and keep vultures at bay. Hip-hop then became like a second nurturer to him. Motivated by the depth of artists such as Tupac and Biggie, these pioneers gave Magg the passion for the art at the age of thirteen.Magg took hip-hop as a home the streets as a school, and the future as his focus. At the age of seventeen he was forced out on his own and dropped out of school to support himself. He turned to hustling like so many young men before him where no other means were made to survive. Magg has seen the unforgiving perils of the street and heard the hood cries of so many that were in its enduring grasp, many who experienced this at his own hands. But like a soldier wounded in battle, Magg once again heard the war cry of his music, music that he knew would soon affect the world.Fusing together the passion of hip-hop and the grittiness of the street, Magg still managed to incorporate a universal sound that all can identify with. He soon took to the streets once again, but not as they remembered him before. This time, he had something far better than quick fixes, instead something priceless that affects and touches one for a lifetime. Magg began participating in rap battles, talent shows, and other local arenas of performing to gain experience he would need to capture the attention of awaiting fans. Performing at places like Club Speed, Club Star, and other hot spots led him on a course that started creating a street buzz and that is still gaining momentum.The more hip-hop evolves the more multi-faceted an artist has to become. Magg sees himself as no exception. His earliest ventures include opening his own club/lounge with his manager in Brooklyn called "Zero Gravity". Currently he is working with rising talented producers " clutchlife Productions". These ambitious track slayers bridge their sound to Magg's supreme vocals making believers out of jaded listeners. Magg is also launching his own entertainment group "UnderGround Giants Entertainment", where he sits as C.E.O and front man of "Major Jeopardy" his sure fire rap entourage. With so many notches under his belt one would have to think Magg-1 means-"Man After Giant Goals-for 1 Purpose."
