About Me

Here are the ABC's of me: In general, I am a scholar and a gentleman (roughly translated, I went to school and I open doors for people---sometimes).
I am a workaholic. My old mentor told me that "The practice of law is a jealous mistress, she keeps you from your family, she makes you stay late, she is always beckoning you back when you are away, and what compounds the problem is that you start to love her." I practice transactional real estate law, mostly assisting national and local developers of shopping centers, office buildings and multi-family and single family residential communities with their acquistion, disposition, development, leasing and financing of real estate. Best of all, I never go to court (not that there's anything wrong with people who do, it's just not for me).
(I realize that my bio is likely under consideration by the American Medical Association as a possible cure for insomnia--but I assure you we've almost reached the end)
In the seemingly rare moments when I am not working, my time is invested with my wife and our 2 children. Between work and family, I enjoy spending time with friends (I mean who likes hanging out with enemies, right?), watching sports and meeting new people (and, not to discriminate, old people too).

My Interests

Karaoke (people say I do a great Elvis-hopefully they mean the younger one)...

...Yeah, kind of like that, dancing, Cleveland Cavaliers, Browns and Indians, Buckeyes Football, Basketball, and Biblical research

I'd like to meet:

1. Other people who get sauce on their shirt when they eat spaghetti. I suspect this list is long and undoubtedly distinguished.

Note: Before I start getting slews of friend requests from the folks at Slobs R' Us, I should clairify: (a) never dripping sauce likely means a person is either perfect, or a bib user (unwilling to take a few risks), in either case, they would not want to meet me, and (b) more than, say, three to five drops of sauce likely means that the person eats like a swine, in which case, I probably wouldn't want to meet them. lol

2. People who may not always dot their "i's", but who are well good at faithfully crossing their "t's".

What I Learned During the Blow-Out

Near the start of the fourth quarter of the OSU-Florida championship game, with the game already decided almost 3 hours earlier, I finally decided I had enough disappointment for one evening.&nbs...

Better To Be Hated?

I twisted off the cap of my juice bottle tonight and, as is my custom, I looked under the cap.  (I think those "look under the cap" soda promotions in the 80s and 90s really brainw...

Tell Me What I Want To Hear

A while back while writing my blog about "Fake Plastic Trees" by Radiohead, I got to thinking about songs that I liked better before I heard the recording artist's version of the "true" meaning or sto...

Courage and Selflessness

"What makes a King out of a slave? Courage! What makes the flag on the mast to wave? Courage! What makes the elephant charge his tusk in the misty mist, or the dusky dusk? What makes the muskrat guard...

An Optical Illusion

Hey,If you ever saw The Matrix, the part where the walls or buildings start waving, the image in the attached link will give you the same real-life hallucination. Now, why I would ask my friends to en...

Mr. Angry v. Ms Calm ---or Is It?

Here is a cool optical illusion that I found on IanRowland.com (it wouldn't surprise me if I am the last person to see this), but I thought it was very strange: If you are near to this picture, Mr...

Finding Emo

Since I joined My Space, I and others (OK maybe just Dave and me) have questioned aloud, what the f*** is "Emo"?  While on another now infamous internet research mission, I stumbled upon a site ...

Hooked on Delfonics

Oh, the power that we (I) put in other people's hands when we (again, I) say the words "I love you" first to another person.  Ralph Waldo Emerson wrote "There are moments when the affections rule...
