Show me Whatchu Got!

About Me

Hey, I'm Chrissy P. a.k.a. the Pulsinator. I am 28 yrs. old. I graduated with a degree in Spanish and Communication (double major) from Saint Louis University in 2002. Since then I've worked as a retail manager for numerous companies including Abercrombie, Hollister, Guess and Francescas. I opened a Parisian store where I got to meet Justin Timberlake who was shopping w/his mom. I also helped open the Hollister store in the Wolfchase Galleria. I had a brief stint as a graphic designer for the University of Memphis where I attended grad school in journalism for two and a half years. I decided grad school was not for me, as I have always had a passion for entertainment and fashion. I am currently a certified personal trainer through AFAA and 24 Hr Fitness. I live in Memphis but am moving back to St. Louis in a month, something I have been thinking of doing for the past three years and have been making serious preparations for this past year. I am originally from New Rochelle, NY but moved here at age 12 w/the fam, dad took a rockin job down here, and then went away to college in STL-go SLU! I am Catholic school educated from age five through college w/a single sex education during my high school years. That probably explains a lot of my problems w/the opposite sex, but really I'm just shy and I've matured and grown a lot over the years. In terms of sports I grew up doing ballet, soccer and tennis, and some snow skiing. (My childhood dream was to be a ballerina-I loved it.) I now focus on running, jumping rope, lifting weights, yoga and some pilates. I like the bosu ball even though it's a little hard to use sometimes. Right now I am focusing on furthering my fitness education. I am finally taking my group exercise exam on Sept. 19th @ Prairie Life Fitness center where I used to work in Membership Services aka sales. I am exploring getting certified through the American Council of Exercise, ACE, so I can make more money, and attend the SCW Fitness Mania convention in Chicago the first week of October. This would be a wonderful way to learn new exercises as well as sales techniques for Personal Trainers...the one thing I felt I was lacking at 24 Hr. Fitness-which it's not their fault, we just didn't have a FM to show me stuff. Anyway, I hope to someday get certified through NASM, too, but that's further on down the road. I hope somebody will take me under their wing and teach me how to be a group exercise instructor, cause I have a feeling I could be really good at it (eventually). I hear they have a training in January in STL w/24 Hr. Fitness. In the meantime, I will explore getting yoga instructor certified through AFAA. Phew-that's a lot, I know! What else can I say? Well, I tend to be a very blunt communicator and sometimes quiet about my personal life, but I'm slowly learning to open up. Many southerners often mistake me for being rude-that's their problem. I'm a very competitive person if you haven't already guessed that. I'd describe myself as passionate, sharp, and a go-getter who is sometimes corny yet funny and tons of fun to be around. I'm not married and I don't have any children and I'm not looking to settle down ANYTIME soon! I consider my cat and my car to be my babies though. My hopes are to make money, travel and see the world, find love and happiness and all that other fairy tale stuff but for now I'm just enjoying the journey. I leave the rest in God's hands.

My Interests

dance, tennis, interior design, advertising, acting, traveling, Europe, & speaking spanish. In the past few months, I have been to Denver, Nashvegas, St. Louey, New Jersey & New York. No international trips for a while, though.

I'd like to meet:

Famous people, Musicians, Male models, Fashionistas, and friends/acquaintances with whom I've lost touch.

Music:

I listen to a LOT of techno-if you have heard it in a gay discotech, I probably listen to it, and at an obnoxiously loud level. I love this profile song-crank it up! I also appreciate good folk music like Jewel, Matchbox Twenty, and The Who, and some R&B music.

Movies:

I don't go to the movies often, but I rent a lot of movies. I prefer ridiculously stupid comedies like You, Me, and Dupree, Big Daddy, Stuck on You, and The Jerk.

Television:

Well I have two HDTV's but don't have cable. When I used to watch TV I'd watch the Style channel, TLC, or E Entertainment.

Books:

Right now I am re-reading a personal training book.

Heroes:

Oprah, Isaac Mizrahi, and of course, Lance Armstrong!
