Yahuah Almighty and Yahushua His Anointed Son. Other people I would be interested in meeting would include Khanok (who walked with Yahuah in the writings of B'raysheet (Gen.)), Mosheh (Moses), El'Yahu (Elijah), Yosef (Joseph), and many other righteous ones who have gone before me and are awaiting the resurrection of the righteous at the second appearing of our Ruler Yahushua!I'd like to meet YOU to if you have a minute!
I like instrumental stuff and love songs, but I am very picky - Scriptural music only! Most music contains the nonsense of unscriptural lyrics which promote sex outside of marriage, drinking, drugs, idolatry, adultery, materialism, earthly nationalism, broken marriages, broken relationships, un-Scriptural lifestyles, and the list could go on forever. The Almighty must especially be disappointed that many people who profess belief in Scripture still continue to listen to such nonsense. I pray that Scriptural believers will repent if they are involved in this musical mess that has gripped the world, and use music instead as it was originally intended... for praise and worship of the Most High and His Son! I'm just saying to keep it in Scriptural perspective my friends. : )
If a movie is educational or deals with Scriptural concepts, I would probably watch it... although most all movies, including Scriptural ones, are falsifications of reality. I found Farenheit 911 and Supersize Me to be educational. I don't like movies that try to impersonate Scriptural themes, and I don't think Scripture was ever meant to be put on a big screen. Firstly, the screen limits the depth... it only gives you one perspective. Secondly, the screen is not the WORD... which is why Yahuah gave us the Word and not a movie. Movies for the most part are 2 hours of time that is wasted, you can't get that time back. In truth, you could (or should) have been worshipping, spending time with wife, friends, family, preaching, studying Scripture, or things that have more everlasting worth. In other words, A & E is not "Time well spent," it is "Time poorly wasted" most of the time. Even when it comes to so-called Scriptural movies, most of the time they present a skewed and misconstrued view of things. Often times they add and take away from Scripture... something which Scripture itself warns about doing... with severe consequences for those that do this. Movies also only give you one single view of what the Scriptural account states, so it brainwashes you to be seeing that film's interpretation every time you read the Scriptural account after viewing the film. I noticed this after I read the story of Yosef (Joseph) after watching the film based on that story. So in my opinion, people should stop making films on Scripture, and stick to LIVING Scriptural lives and looking at the depth of Scripture which no movie screen can portray anyhow. The days we live in are evil days, and much of what we watch we could (should) do without.
Television is rightly called the idiot box in most cases. I know this is going to sound harsh, but hear me out and pray about it. Television is usually used in connection with movies and video games which 99% of the time are un-Scriptural. Most people turn the television on to be entertained. The reality tv shows provide an outlet for people to live in a fantasy world or to feel better than the ones on the show. The comedy sitcoms provide laughter at stuff that is often vulgar and crude. Much more could be said, but most people know that most of what is on tv is un-Scriptural nonsense. If ever I turn it on, I use it for the purposes of education... we might as well learn something while we are sitting there staring at the thing. There is much that I would classify as educational on tv. There is news, documentaries, Scriptural teaching (depending on what channels you get, satellite Messianic programs, etc.). As for me, the Scriptures have said "I will set no wicked thing before mine eyes" (Psalm 101:3). So we threw out the "one-eyed devil" as it is called.
The Scriptures by the Institute for Scripture research (available from www.fossilizedcustoms.com), JPS Hebrew to English TaNaKh (OT), Septuagint, Robert Bell's "Velvet Elvis," books by Walter Kaiser Jr, Bruce Wilkinson, "The Two Babylons" by Alexander Hislop, "Come Out of Her, My People" by Chris Koster, and my list could go on for quite some time.
Don't have any "heroes." I have a Sovereign, not a Hero, and His Name is Yahuah, the Almighty Sovereign of the universe, and His Son, the Anointed Redeemer of Yisra'El (Israel).
