About Me

Wow, who am I? I am still figuring that out. I am a musician (not amazing, not bad, just me) I am a Christian, but I tend to raise the hairs of many of the Christians I know through my beilefs. I am a husband, not as good of one as I should be, though I am trying to get better. I am a son, though I sometimes feel at odds with my parents as I am sure everyone else does. I am a friend, but I don't know how to maintain a freindship without their being a "working" relationship involved. I am a man, and I fail people too often, but still try. I am not sure how all of this works out, but I feel like I am out in the ocean... alone... sometimes, being tossed around by the waves, I am swimming towards a goal, but my strength often fails me. Everytime I almost drown though it seems like either God or Libby or my parents or my friends seem to pick me up. I can't do this on my own and I am glad...

Music:

Seriously though, does it get any better than this? I have dreamed of this show since before I was born... really! My mom took me to a Zep show when she was way pregnant with me!
Rocks more than you... more country too.I am a listener of all types of music. Some but very few of my favorite bands include: Circleslide (www.myspace.com/circleslide) The Forgotten Dream (www.myspace.com/theforgottendreammusic) Strange Occurrence...this was my old band, Separation...another band I was playing with for a while, Common Heroes...long term music friends, The Choir, Led Zepplin...these guys blow my mind my mom took me to a Zepplin concert when she was 8 months pregnant with me, MUSE, The Doors, Lewis, NIN, Switchfoot, POD, Dogwood, anything with Louis Armstrong, Red Hot Chili Peppers, At the Drive In (as well as both Sparta and the Mars Volta) Mike Doughty... check this guy out! Also check out Dustin Kensrue Finally, the hundreds of independant bands and artists that will never get the recognition that they deserve.

Movies:

Television:

I really don't watch that much T.V. but The Office is pretty cool along with Family Guy and any show that actually shows music videos instead of stupid reality shows...

Books:

The Bible though I do not read as I should, most reciently any books published by Relevant publishing, Body Piercing Saved My Life by Andrew Beaujon, The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde by Robert Lewis Stevenson, The Chronicals of Narnia by c.s. Lewis, The Pilgrims Progress by John Bunyan and biographies of any of my musical heroes. Also the BOOK version of The Hitchikers Guide to the Galaxy. The more I think about it, "Normal Christian Living" by Watchman Nee really made an impact on my life

Heroes:

Anyone who gave their all, failed, and tried again. Anyone who succeded and used their success to help thier friends. My God, My wife Libby, My mom and dad, Rick and Jan Espe, Kurt Matt, Pat O'leary and people who continue to challenge me to be better.
