KevinTaek was born in Seoul, South Korea and rasied in a small rural town in Central Illinois. Kevin started his love for music at a very young age, taking up piano lessons at the age of six and then taking up the clarinet in 5th grade. He kept pursuing his passion for music throughout his academic career. He has participated in District and All-State bands through middle school and high school. With these accomplishments he received a music scholarship from North Park University. KevinTaek has always been interested in dance music and DJing, it wasn't until his 2nd semester of his freshman year that he bought his first pair of Technics, the rest is history. He has been a radio DJ for Peoria/Bloomington's 92.3FM. His club appearances, residencies and guest spots, includes Rednofive, WET, Moda, Ontourage, Buzz, 720, Zentra, Jet Vodka Lounge, Vision, Botique, and Suite Lounge. His music style includes everything, not holding onto one genre, KevinTaek feels being versatile in all genres is the key to holding a crowd. Not holding on to being strictly a Hip-Hop DJ or House DJ, one can hear anything from Top 40, Hip-Hop/R&B, Electro House/House, & Rock/80's.
