DJLP was and raised in Chicago. He started DJ'ing when he was 10 yrs old with House and R-n-B. LP moved to Naptown in 1985 where got into the Hip-Hop/Rap scene. He started doing mix tapes and became a scratch Dj at that time.

DJLP has been a turntablist (tricks, beat juggling, scratching and etc.) since moving to Nap. He worked at various clubs such as: Phoenix Bar and Grill, and Jumpstreet 21. LP has also done clubhouse parties, picnics, reunions, weddings and the YMCA.

DJLP is currently mixin it up every Sunday and Tuesday from 9pm - 2am at Skateland USA (formaly USA Skate West).
