Trying to figure it all out and trying to rebuild my social life, which has been shattered by my work schedule.
At this point, I'd like to meet anyone who has something to say. Take that as you will.
Against Me!, Alkaline Trio, Billy Bragg, Bob Dylan, Bouncing Souls, The Clash, Cursive, Dismemberment Plan, The Draft, Foo Fighters, The Good Life, Guitar Wolf, Hey Mercedes, Hot Water Music, Jawbreaker, Joe Strummer, Kid Dynamite, The Lawrence Arms, The Loved Ones, Minor Threat, Movielife, None More Black, Paint It Black, Rise Against, Rumbleseat, Silent Drive, Strike Anywhere, Ted Leo, Weakerthans ....I missed quite a few, so feel free to ask.
Three books that changed my life:
"People's History Of The United States" by Howard Zinn (a unique perspective on American history that you might not have heard about or considered)
"On The Road" by Jack Kerouac (Maybe a bit cliched, but it makes you appreciate just how big this country is and how short life is)
"Get In The Van" by Henry Rollins (The most honest, well-written, and downright brutal memoir of touring the country in a punk rock band in the 80's and what that meant to those who lived it.)
