I'm sure everyone knows Tyra is leaveing MySpace. The real one that is. So after that, any Tyra's that are still here, then you know what they are. I wounder if any of the impersonaters will be stupid enough to try to convince anyone they are the real one? Or will they leave to try to give us the impression that they are the real one? Stay tuned and we will find out.The first time I saw Tyra was when she was sharing the cover of Sports Illustrated with Valeria Mazza back in 96. Her outer beauty astonished me, but little did I know how much more there is to her. I love the photo she took in the one peace zebra swim suite. To me she really stood out from all the others. As time went on I would learn all kinds of surprising things about her. She was not a typical model. In reading her interviews I learned that she would not hang out at parties. She stayed away from alcohol and drugs. She would do her modeling job then go strait home and get ready for the next job. It was really wonderful to learn what a down to earth person she is. She has a really great and fun personally and she likes being goofy at times.
She spent one year in Paris to do high fashion modeling with such designers as Ralph Lauren, Karl Lagerfeld and Oscar de la Renta to name a few. In time she became more full figured in witch I learned that the high fashion industry dose not like. Her agency told her she had to lose weight. So instead, she got out of high fashion and went to agencies that (as she puts it) accepted her juiciness. I really admire her for making that decision. That was a good move. She flew back to America and worked for IMG and other agencies.
As a black model she set a lot of Firsts. She was the first black model to be on the cover of Sports Illustrated, the first to have a cosmetic contract with Cover Girl, the first with Victoria Secret and on the cover of GQ. One year she was one of People’s Magazines 50 most beautiful people and she has won many other awards.
She gets a lot of fan mail from girls who don't like the way they look. They wanted to look like her or other models. They would ask for her help. She felt it was her responsibility to do something about that. It was somewhere at this point were she decided to be a role model and set a good example for women. Being a model, she didn’t want what she was doing to make girls dislike their body image or how they looked. So she wrote a book called Tyra’s Beauty Inside & Out. She figured the book would answer most of her fan mail she was getting. It covered Makeup techniques, self-esteem and loving yourself, relationships, substance abuse and other experiences she though would help others. I read her book and it has helped me in so many ways as well as helping me to be a better person. Even after that, she though words in a book is not enough and felt it her responsibility to do more. So she started T-Zone. A one-week long summer camp to affirm and empower teen girls to build a sisterhood. They cover such issues as body image, friendship, identity and gender issues, peer pressure, dating and so much more.
Tyra wanted to show everyone the truth of modeling. She wanted to show the smoke and mirrors behind modeling and that it's not always the glamour that everyone thinks it is. This was one of the reasons why she started America’s Next Top Model. Not only for a chance for average women to win a big modeling career, but also for everyone to see the real truth of what modeling is like. By knowing the truth, this will help women to love themselves and not want to look like models. Tyra is now retired from modeling. She wanted to get out while she was still on top. She didn't want to get kicked out. She modeled for 17 years.
If her book and T-Zone wasn't enough, she now has her own daytime talk show named after her. Now you can really see how beautiful she is inside and out as she helps everyone with different issues everyday. She has given some of her guest makeovers for life in witch the solution is not short term, but for the rest of there life and she checks up on her guest to see how there doing with there makeover.
I think the secret to her success is how hard she works and the things her Mom taught her. One of the things she told her is don't ever let anyone tell you, you can't do something. With determination and hard work, you can do anything. You can see how well her Mon got through to her because she is very determined in everything she dose and works very hard. Modeling was not Tyra's original plan. Her original plan was film and television production. It was her high school friend Khefri Riley that first told her she had the look for modeling. After being encouraged by her friends to contact some local agencies, she decided to give it a try. Her Mom shot some simple black and white pictures for Tyra's portfolio. They picked the best two and had prints made to send to various agencies. She found out which agencies were reputable and made arrangements with ten of them to go to their open interviews. Five of them turned her down. Even though the sixth agency took her, the agent told her, well Tyra, I see that you have some potential. But I'm only going to have you do runway shows, because I don't feel that the camera likes your face. Tyra signed up with L.A. Models. Her family was solidly behind her as she took her first career steps. Three years later she signs up with Elite Models and they alowed her to do more. She did teen magazines and store catalogs. After Graduating from Immaculate Heart High School, She still didn't see modeling as a career even though she liked the work. She was still preparing for film and television production. She applied to many colleges and got accepted at Loyola Marymount, her first choice. Everything was all set. She was ready to attend Loyola Marymount for her career in film and television production. Or at least she thought so. At this point her agency calls her with a big modeling offer in Paris. Now she has a choice and you know what happens from here. As they say, the rest is history.
The clean family lifestyle that she lives really makes her a great role model. She is definitely my role model. She also encourages people to do volunteer work. She has done so in the past and she got her audience last year on her talk show to do so. And just now, Time Magazine has honored her as one of the 100 worlds most influential people. This is a great honor and I congratulate her for that.I often wonder how everything would be if Tyra didn’t become a model. It's amazing what a big difference one person can make. Not only would we be missing this very beautiful woman walking down the runway or taking fierce photos, but our lives wouldn't be the same. It is because she really cared that she felt it to be her responsibility to make a difference in people’s lives, to help them to feel better about themselves and to pursue their dreams. I know my life is so much better because of what I learned from her, and from the post I read on her page I can see the same thing from many people. Who would have known that all of this would be possible because Tyra became a Model. I am very thankful that her friends talked her in to it. So Tyra, I did this for you. I hope you can see how proud of yourself you should be. With all of this I am a very big fan of Tyra Banks. She is everything a woman should be and more. I think there is no one more beautiful then Tyra inside or out. So I dedicate this page to Tyra Banks! I will always be a very big fan of hers. I guess you can say a fanatic. She is the best and it will never get any better then her. My love goes to Tyra. ♥

Videos by vMix Member: Tyra Banks Show The Latest WorkStation I Built
Most of the workstations I build use Tyan Main Boards because of there fine quality and technology. The last workstation used a pair of Pentium 3 processors on a Tyan Main Board. After AMD processors started to get more popular, I was noticing that lower clocking AMD Athlons were out doing Intel Pentium 4 processors clocking at a higher speed. I bought an inexpensive Laptop with an Athlon processor and I was quite surprised at the speed and processing power it had. So I said to myself, the next workstation I build will use an AMD processor. Later on AMD started coming out with there 64 bit processors starting with the Athlon64. At this time Intel was not yet making a 64 bit processor. The information on this processor was quite interesting, but very little support for 64 bit technology at that time. Then when the 64 bit Opteron processor came out, I watched there presentations and read there literature and was quite intrigued. After that I had to build an Opteron Workstation. I had to experience this. I checked with Tyan to see if they had a Main Board for this processor and they had quite a few to chose from. After picking one of the most advance main boards they had for this processor, selecting the rest of the Components and the case to put it all in, the results is the workstation I built below. I called Tyan to ask them a question about the board. After they answered my question, they told me they had a large order for this board from the goverment because the U.S. Navy is making flight simulators using this board. I was quite impressed. I will have the same Main board in my workstation that the Navy is using for flight simulators. But this also made the board very hard for me to get since most of the orders were going to the Navy and very little to the general public. That is a long story and I think I will write a blog on that called "Listen to that voice inside of you". Anyway, the specifications for this workstation is listed below.
