The Sir Bell Siqq Biography:Prior to Sir Bell Siqq's Rap career, his life was only visible to some of the roughest streets in Kansas City, Kansas. On the run from the police and the courts during 1999 and 2000. While on the run, Siqq started putting his frustrations and experiences down on tracks.
In 2001, Siqq had his first album feature on Beatoven's album, "The Orchestration", on the hit song, "What Was I Thinking, He's Drinking". Little did he know, how events would soon play out.
Kansas City, Kansas, 2002, The story unfolds with the release of Sir Bell Siqq's first album, "The Hit List". Which was also the first album release for 2 the Moon Music. Not since other infamous Kansas City Rappers has an album taken the streets as did Siqq's debut release. Yet with fame soon followed hardship, as Siqq was incarcarated only one week later.
Two years later in 2004, Siqq was released on parole, and within a year was back on his feet, with his second album release, "Shadow of Death" in 2005. Later the same year, Siqq finished parole and his albums success was uninterupted and it continues to be a street classic, and a hard to find, must have as a fan of Kansas City Rap. What also help fuel the hiseria behind this album was the small local tour, which visited such near by cities as Topeka, Kansas, Culumbia and St. Louis, Missouri, as well as cities in Illinois.
In the coming year, Siqq ventured into the mixtape game, with the release of the MIXDISK, volume 1. Competively integrating his street knowledge lyrics, along well-known, industry beats. Placing him in a different light, and often remarks of him "killing those beats", better than the original artists themselves who first released the tracks. Siqq also took 2006 to begin to meet the industry outside of Kansas City, traveling to Las Vegas, St. Louis, Houston, and other hot spots in the scene.
With Sir Bell Siqq not wanting to known as a mixtape artist, and an "Original Rap Artist", as he truly stands out, he set forth on a new project, his recently finished album, "Tell the Truth, Shame the Devil". This album, featuring such artists as Yukmouth, Boy Big, and many more, Siqq's presence in the Rap scene is stronger than ever, he will leave you wanting more. The release date for "Shame the Devil, Tell the Truth" will be later this year.
With recent changes at 2 the Moon Music, a lot of big things will be happening for 2008, with the release of 2 more albums already in the works, "Sliqq Fifties" and "Siqq the Gritt", it looks to be a promising year.
