DJ, Resident, Promoter for 3 of Bristol & the South West's biggest nights.I guess you'd say i'm 'old skool' now having been around the clubbing scene since the mid 90's, but i'm still only 28.I've been involved with numerous well known & very successful events in and around Bristol for years. I've even owned my own club for a short while, but we wont go in to that...!Yes, I DJ. Right, everyone DJ's nowadays... but i've been doing it a while; over 11 years now.Ive been resident in the past at One Love, Fluid, RSVP and Kandybox from the start, as well as both resident and promoter for Aquafunk (Saturdays @ Liquid) and Electroquisite (Saturdays at Koochi).Currently, as i said, I'm resident & promoter, along with my good mate Al, for 3 of Bristol's best known nights and bottom line, i'm fucking good at what i do.Prominence: a monthly night taking place on the last Saturday of each month at Club Cuba. We showcase some of the best DJ/Producers artists in the world, most of whom have never even played in Bristol before. In the last 6 months we've had Ian Carey, Martijn Ten Velden, Paul Jackson & Phil Drummond, Tocadisco, Funkagenda & a Toolroom Knights Tour with Dave Spoon. In 2007, we've already lined up Ben Macklin (Sucker DJ's, and shit hot right now), and the return of Ian (fingers crossed). I don't care where you're from, but if you're loving house music, that's pretty damn sick!Electroquisite: monthly on the 2nd Saturday of the month, taking place at undoubtably Bristol's best underground venue Timbuk2. This night takes on a darker, more underground edge, the idea being to showcase some of the best new talent; those who are turning heads and who's names are on everyones lips, plus the pioneers of future music. Last year we had Chris Lake, Micky Slim and
Back2Basics resident Ryan Shaw headline. This year, it's set to explode as we lauch the neon series: 10 parties. 10 colours. 10 amazing guests, starting in February with Dave Robertson of Futurism. Trust me... You need to get to these nights people!Lastly, Bristol's best known floating party The Funk Boat; including the spin off Funk Bus tour: Bottom line, these are amazing. one of the best nights out you could have. Ask anyone who's been and they'll tell you the same. A-MAZ-ING!!!!! The boats - 100 fucking lunatics, floating throughout the waterways of Bristol throughout the Summer months, with a kick-ass rig hammering it out; al-fresco ravin'. The buses - 50 clubbing maniacs on a roadtrip to some of the best venues in the country in support of the Funkboat ressies, stomping on the M5 and terrorising service stations!DJ'ing wise throughout the last 10 years, I've guested at nights all over the country including Miss Moneypennys, Mud Club, Promise, Plastic, and Wish, as well as being one of the Bristol residents for London based 'Pukka Up'.If there's one downside, it's that i spend most of the time working. However, just occasionally i get a night to myself and when i do, i like to have a night out with my boys up North as i've got to admit, they tend to have it just that little bit more up there!My boys are Will, Al, Brownie, Ad, Jon, Rich, Tom, Neil, Amar, Yannis. That's some good shit!Personally, I'm honest and open, and i can truly say that i'm about as genuine as you can get. I'm a little traditional in that sense, and anyone who knows me will say the same. I'm a pretty sound guy, who's always game for a laugh. Some people might even describe me as being a little bit crazy....Finally, my wife & I have a wonderful daughter called Gracie-Mae. I can't describe just how much joy she brings to me.
