I'm married to my junior high love, Wesley, and we have a beautiful daughter. I'm at a point right now where I want to embrace my nerdiness and just be me. It's hard to let go of all the things that I should be or ought to do, so I'm working on it.

Some of my likes: reading, Jim Halpert, the phrase "unconditional positive regard," dancing, Dr. Pepper, rain, a pretty pedi, yellow cake with chocolate frosting, the ABC 13 morning news team (Casey Curry and Don Nelson ROCK!), music, East Texas, Star Trek: The Next Generation, chai tea latte, Food Network, Professor McGonagall, Tex-Mex, living on the first street!

Some of my dislikes: Diaper Genie, fresh tomatoes, stupid financial products (Bank of America Keep the Change, Discover Motiva), Pepsi

Comedy, documentary. Recent fave: The Business of Being Born.

Television:

LOST, The Office, Grey's Anatomy, Private Practice, Friends

Books:

I read pretty much anything I come across with print. I like smart chick lit; I'm trying to steer away from the pop psychology.

Heroes:

My dad and my mom, in different ways. My dad is my childhood hero that I still want to do anything to be like and to live up to. My mom is my hero since I was about 19 or 20, and I truly realized her selflessness and love for me, my brothers, and everyone around her. She amazes me all the time.
