I'm not all in agreement with the test results above - mostly yes, but I think my actual work ethic is much (!!) higher than 30%, vanity is a lot less than 70%, maybe like 50% (certainly not more!) and indie I think is quite a bit more than 53%. Artistic 90% might be a little exaggerated - after all, the maximum? I think it takes a bit more than I can do to reach the maximum level in this criteria. You can get a bit of an idea of my artistic work on my photography-profile (Jonas Hein) - you be the judge. The rest I think comes close to what I'm like...

My Interests

photography (see my photography-profile: Jonas Hein), watching movies, listening to music, MotU,...

I'd like to meet:

interesting people in Berlin, the rest of Germany and all over the world :)

...and I want to support:

Music:

everything that appeals to my emotions and feelings, usually dark, often either aggressive or melancholic, sometimes strange / bizarre... I listen to pretty much all genres somewhat related to the dark scene, from Dark Folk via dark Rock to Dark, Black, Death & Thrash Metal, from Dark Wave / Gothic to EBM / Industrial.

to name a few bands I like especially - but it's a lot more that I listen to:

- Antimatter
- Arcturus
- Autumnblaze
- Dark Suns
- Dornenreich
- Elend
- Empyrium
- Tenhi

- Ulver

- Opeth
- Samael
- Thy Serpent

- Lacuna Coil
- Within Temptation
- The Gathering

- Carpathian Forest
- Dissection
- Emperor
- Immortal
- Mayhem (only their album "De Mysteriis...")
- Satyricon
- Thorns

- Death

- Six Feet Under
- Bolt Thrower
- disbelief
- Purgatory

- ASP
- Goethes Erben
- Lacrimosa
- London After Midnight
- Sopor Aeternus
- Switchblade Symphony
- Wumpscut

- Goblin (movie scores)
- Jerry Goldsmith (composer: movie scores)
- Danny Elfman (composer: movie scores)
- Die Ärzte (German Band: Fun Punk/Rock/Pop - only what they released in the 80s)

tbc.

Movies:

quite a hell of a lot of 'em - popcorn-movies as well as arthouse-movies, even trash-movies at times.
I love variety.

I love when movies deeply touch me, but I also love to sometimes just be entertained. I love when the emotions depicted in the movie are transmitted to the viewer & when movies transmit their atmosphere. I love strange and somewhat bizarre movies.

I particularly love intense movies - movies that get under your skin, that are nerve-racking, that leave you feeling shattered!

- and all this (from "I love variety." to "...that leave you feeling shattered") word by word can be applied to my interest in photography and in any other kind of graphical art as well.

Television:

I have no TV-set & I don't need one.

I watch everything in original version, if necessary with English or German subtitles - this rules out watching almost any television here in Germany. Just sometimes I watch a movie in a dubbed version: when reading the subtitles distracts me too much from the images - in this case the second time around I watch the movie in original version, sometimes even without subtitles since I already know the story.

What I want to watch I watch on DVD.

But to name a few series I did watch and enjoy (naturally also in original version):
- Twin Peaks
- Friends
- Sex and the City
- The Simpsons

Books:

- "Faust I" by Johann Wolfgang von Goethe
- "Das Parfum" [aka "Perfume"] by Patrick Süskind
- "The Hellbound Heart" by Clive Barker
- "Christine" by Stephen King

Heroes:

photography: Robert Capa, James Nachtwey,...

cinema: David Lynch, Dario Argento, Clive Barker, David Cronenberg, Christopher Doyle,...

literature: Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, Clive Barker,...
