About Me

Yo, I'm Ester. Soccer makes me happy, and so does music, and the sky, and well- nature I guess. I love this line from a Mewithoutyou song, "What unseen pen etched eternal things on the hearts of human kind... But never let them in our minds?"I'm trying to understand this more... I recently read about something in an Intro to Philosophy class I took. All people want to be happy. We all have the freedom to make choices, yet we can't choose to not want to be happy. We might choose wrongly and end up unhappy, but we all want our own happiness. We are happy when we possess what we view as good. Well I might say an orange is good because it tastes good, and someone else might say it's good because it's healthy. It's hard to point to "good" in life. As an alcoholic (I'm not:) drinking and sleeping all day is good. But then they miss out on the good of a healthy life, or a good job. Also what one thinks might ultimately satisfy them may not last. So for a person to be happy they must possess a good that is all emcompassing. Something that is without limits, and perhaps eternal? I'm rambling about this, because its been on my mind recently. And at the moment this is more interesting to me then rambling about who I am. I'm generally a happy person because God gives me joy. There is so much I don't understand and I just like thinking about life. Please tell me if this sort of makes sense, or if it doesn't.
