Stories, improvisation, miniature golf, concerts, bowling (though I’m not good at it), walking and riding my bike, looking at dwellings, window shopping, listening to random L-train conversations, popping bubble wrap, untying knots, feeling sunshine on my face and wind on my skin, discovering new things and places.

Here's the Spew crew for you.
The people I want to meet are bright, compassionate, humorous innovators of their respective fields. Actually, any intelligent, creative, down-to-earth, roll-with-the-punches, survivor and thriver-type who can laugh at him/herself and who has remained warm and open, despite the harshness of inevitable changes.
My taste in music is broad, though I’m not a music historian type. I often don’t care about reading liner notes, unless I get a strong urge to do so. That only happens occasionally. Mostly, I’m interested in the songs themselves and the moments in which I hear them. Still, I have some favorites. Pink Floyd, Steely Dan, Donald Fagan solo career, Queen, some System of a Down, The Mars Volta’s Frances the Mute, Santana and Carlos himself with the last albums, Los Lonely Boys’ Onda (because it reminds me of Santana’s stuff), Tool and A Perfect Circle (because I like Maynard’s mind and his arrangements), Audioslave, Bad Company, Metallica, Disturbed (It was a phase. I still think David is hot and has a creamy center to his voice that I find irresistible. It’s that hard softness that I like in my male rockers), The Buena Vista Social Club releases and musical documentary, general salsa music, general Cuban music a la Buena Vista, general house music, funk, some ‘80s, some New Age music. I like things that draw me in... width="425" height="350">.. .. ..>
In general, I like suspense thrillers and good erotic thrillers with no killing of the lovers. I like steamy romances like Damage and Wild Orchid. I like any intelligent obsession movie. I have grown to like Spaghetti Westerns and noir. I love the few Hitchcock I’ve seen and intend to see more. I love really crazy, fast-paced comedies and action movies. I’m wild about good dramas. I liked Insomnia and One Hour Photo. I absolutely adored Identity because of its premise and expertly executed twists. For those same reasons, I liked Saw. I loved Closer, though it was mildly depressing. I loved He Loves Me, He Loves Me Not, I liked Spanglish because the end was beautifully realistic (not in the sense of film school Realism, just in the sense of truth to character type). I really like Sideways. It’s a funny, strong, quiet film I can see over and over. There are so many more that I could mention, but I’ll stop here.
My faves on the tube are The Twilight Zone (because it’s master storytelling that draws its terror straight from the psyche), The Dead Zone, Boston Legal (anything with James Spader in it), Commander In Chief, Law and Order, Some Seinfeld, Simpsons, and South Park episodes. That’s about it. I haven’t seen many of the above-mentioned shows in ages. I just don’t watch that much TV since I’ve gotten rid of cable and gotten Netflix.Humour Around The World

My list of books is now only as long as my memory, as I haven’t read much within the last couple of years. I was doing way too many other things to tire myself out. Still, I do have some faves here, too: Hurston’s Their Eyes Were Watching God and Dust Tracks on a Road; Morrison’s Sula, The Bluest Eye, Beloved, and Jazz (I have Paradise and haven’t read it.); Louise Erdrich’s Tracks, Love Medicine, The Beet Queen, and two others I can’t recall; Ellison’s Invisible Man, Wright’s Native Son, Schuyler’s Black No More; Wiesel’s Night; Treblinka; Glass’s Toxic People; one of the Anne Rice books, either Vittorio the Vampire or The Vampire Lestat (my attention span for series is often short); finally, good erotic and short story anthologies.
I admire anyone who overcame adversity and/or suffered a broken heart as a result of loving a few humans or humanity in general and still managed to be a loving, generous, humorous, joyful, compassionate being with fire in the belly and a hell of a story to tell.Woman beat man during fitness exercise !!!
