Sounds Like: The barnyard dogs of rock and roll are back with a passion and a fury. They’ve got a
new, super long name and a new C.D. Their bags are packed and they’re ready to hit the ol’ blue highway. Big Boss Sausage and the Pacifist of Fury (formerly Acoustic Sausage) are thrilled to announce the arrival of their 2nd full length C.D. The self titled, 15 song brainchild of Mingo Lodge and Sam Magill was released in June at The Bitter End in N.Y.C.
Big Boss Sausage and the Pacifist of Fury (BBS and the POF) have been writing, recording, and touring for 15+ years. The boys regularly wander the east coast from Key West, Florida to Nova Scotia and beyond and have built a loyal following along the way. Their latest C.D. was recorded at Shack Studio in Sussex, N.J. by the legend, Dwayne (D2) Sumal. Sumal has worked with the likes of Kid Rock, Ron Wood, Naughty by Nature, Busta Rhymes, and many more. The album was released by Hear the Light Records. The music is a blend of Folk, Country, Disco, Rock, and Punk- otherwise known as FO-CO-RO-PU (Country and Disco share the CO because FO-CO-CO-RO-PU is just too much,although fun to say.) When conditions are right the boys are joined by Ned Stroh on drums and Claude Deltieure on harmonica.
BBS and the POF are truly passionate about what they do. “Music is our driving force; it compels us to wake every afternoon with a deep joy for living and a genuine purpose for existing,"says Sam Magill, bass player and vocalist for the band. “I concur, my hairless friend,"says Mingo Lodge, guitar player, vocalist, and hairier of the duo.
