Shopping, Movies, Concerts, Walking, Long drives, Local events. Kajukenbo (it's a martial art from Hawaii; fun, challenging and a good workout). I've been into weights, and exercise since inspirational gym classes in high school. Being on the treadmill gives me a chance to listen to music for uninterrupted periods of time, this is a good thing. The natural highs and health benefits are a necessary in my life too.
I was at this show!
House/dance music from the 90's; Current dance music on BPM or C89.5.. remixes of popular songs too. I like some of the rap out there. Brandi Carlile and Ladytron. Disco and the 80's are great when I'm active. Madonna is always at the top of the list. Heart and Stevie Nicks are nice to listen to while sitting in airports or cars. I have a serious affection for Justin Timberlake and I'm not afraid to admit it!
I love movies, especially those from the 80's, i.e. Pretty in Pink, Breakfast Club, Risky Business, About Last Night, Cocktail. Anything by Christopher Guest. Indies and documentaries: favorites include Loving Annabelle, Kids, The Secretary, Shortbus, Shut up and Sing. Others: The Godfather I & II, Goodfellas, Saving Private Ryan, GI Jane, Jackie Brown and Kill Bill I. & II.
TV is a big way I veg out..Reality type TV on A&E and Bravo. Work Out, Girls Next Door, Big Brother, Life on the D List, Amazing Race, Jon & Kate Plus 8, LA Ink, House Hunters, Cops, Survivor, Judge Judy and Nancy Grace. I hate sitcoms, with the exception of Will and Grace, and can't stand talk shows or game shows under any circumstance. Fawning audiences and excessive clapping give me hives.
True crime is a favorite and Ann Rule err.. rules!. I'll read other books here or there but it's got to be pretty good for me to stick with it. I actually prefer magazines or newspapers i.e. the New Yorker, Readers Digest, People, US Magazine, The Stranger, Seattle Weekly.
My Mom and Dad. Madonna. Any person who stands up for themself in the face of opposition. Anyone who dares to be different.
