About Me

Butter is a six piece Modern Funk Rock, Rhythm, and Blues band who came together to create an outlet and an alternative to their previous music experiences. The mission of the band is to play a quality broad base genre of music. The Band plays nearly Four Hours of original and "copy" music. The current line up of Dave Andrews, Tyson Mapes, Dave Moran, Andy Bassinger, Ed Kuehn, and Mike Harris was put together in 2006 after many trials and errors. Mike, Dave, and Ed had ben jamming for a couple of years when they added longtime friends Tyson, Andy and Captain Dave... And so, HERE WE ARE.

Influences: We don't know. Everyone says we sound like bands and artists that we've have not paid much attention to. Songs are regularily updated on MySpace.
Sounds Like: Parliament, James Brown, Chili Peppers, Jimi, Steely Dan, some Zepplin, some Dead. Our version of Brick House is our most requested tune. Hmmm, is there some Gospel and Soul there? Dam Straight Skippy! Quiete Frankly, there's nothing as sweet n creamy as SCButter.
