Anything by the Coen brothers, Oliver Stone, Sergio Leone or that guy who made Star wars (except for episode 1 coz it's shit). Monty Python, Terminator, Blade runner, Mutiny on the bounty, Leon, Goodfellas, Flash Gordon, Highlander, Matrix, The Princess Bride, All the Wallace and Gromit films.
Most of it's rubbish but I like to catch the odd episode of... Oh what's it called...? Sorry, can't remember now.
Anything from true stories to complete fantasy... Iain Banks, Bill Bryson, James Herriot, Isaac Asimov, A.C.Clarke, Irvine Welsh, C.S Lewis, Tolkien.
