I'd like to meet:

God. My family in the Hereafter. Darrell Scott- he writes the most moving, meaningful, spiritual and importantly entertaining music. I invite everyone to listen. One of Americas most venerable song writers w/ a vocal range as broad as the genres of music he covers. You've probably all heard his songs performed by others but you need to hear them originally-they've never been improved upon. Yeah, I like him a lot and am pretty much a groupie.

Music:

Love great music!! Newgrass, Bluegrass, Blues, Jazz, Folk, Darrel Scott is just my favorite. In my player right now is Darrel Scott's The Invisible Man, Casey Driessen's 3D and Sam Bush Laps In Seven and How to Grow a Woman From the Ground. I like John Cowan, John Prine, John Mellencamp, John Mayer, John(ny) Cash, Jean Pierre Rampal, John Mcuen, John Paul Jones, now i'm fresh out of Johns, wait J.S. Bach! Janis Joplin, James Taylor and Joshua Bell, ha you thought his was going in alphabetical order didn't you! YoYo Ma, Bob Dylan, William Monroe, Sam Bush, Delbert McClinton, ..............Pretty Eclectic Mix eh?

Movies:

To Kill a Mockingbird-The Red Violin-O Brother Where Art Thou-Gone With The With The Wind-Cold Mountain-Not on my list but I was thinking that "The Grapes of Wrath" must have been one of Gillian Welches favorites.........

Books:

Mostly biographies. Most recent good read: Glass Castle- should be required reading for all teenagers and aspiring journalists...

Heroes:

Every woman who lived on my property without modern conveniences. I have a tiny, tiny cabin here where a woman raised 9 children in front of a fire place in the early 1800's one of who was one of the most prominent citizens/founders of our town, an attorney. I'm not sure what I lack that makes me think I wouldn't have 'made it', intestinal fortitude, greater faith? I respect everyone who had to work so much harder than we do.
