Bio
Amex was born in Germany 1981. With the age of 9 he tried to learn Piano for several years, but it was doomed to fail, because he came in contact with the first breakbeats through his brother 1993. 1997 the step to first drum and bass experiences was consequent. Thus starting music production with Proppellerhead’s Rebirth in year 1998, moving to the next level with Yamaha’s RM1x hardware sequencer in year 2000, played a decisive part in Amex’ life. Consequently he developped himself and knew to take the next step, in year 2003 Cubase became the music production tool nr. 1 until now.
On the way to find his final sound, namely "percussive halfbar Techno (DnB)", he tried alot and failed alot. Finally the time has come...

Music History
In this section you can explore the musical development of Amex, from the early beginnings in 1996 to better efforts until now. The most tunes of the music history listed below are linked with acoustic examples, some are in full length, some are clips.
First to explain the so called ’collection’ is simple. It exists a mother tune, the first tune of the collection. This is the base to work on for other derivates, but with nearly the same sounds, thus the tunes are quite similar but with different accents. But nowadays Amex himself does not follow this concept that strictly he used to.
Today he re-roots to the simpliest concept, the one-off tunes. These tunes do not belong to a collection, but perhaps they can be a base for it. These tunes are produced just in one form, they will be left in their unique universe.
