alexey ogienko (aka proket) was born in norilsk, russia in 1986. in 2001 he started with electronic music and instantly took a liking it to it. it wasn't long untill he started getting good feedback and recognition from well-known russian producers and dj's such as sta, profit, sunchase and cyb orc (illuminati). proket formed prode with friends denix, roland and feom around 2002.
In 2003 proket remixed a tune called "let it be" by the estonian producer bad m.f. with vocals by bad girl. the track became a huge success and was played on a number of radio stations throughout russia and the ukraine.
in 2004 prode and logical collaborated on 2 tunes: el nino and breakage, signed by recon recordings and were played by raiden, optiv, lethal + khanage, profit, pyro and others. El nino has even been featured on dogsonacid's charts. another collaboration between prode and logical called dooms day was picked by dylan for his label freak recordings.
in 2005 proket sent chris jarman (raiden) his tune proportion. one of the first signings to raiden's label offkey recordings (www.offkeymp3.com)- a label that would push proket the most, new proket - raiden collaboration material began to appear with tunes like vodkabite, skafandr and b4.
2006 brought even more luck and tracks like gardarika and cubic. proket and prode finally got the recognition that was rightfully deserved. legendary label dsci4 (dj trace) took both tracks for the fourth part of the smashing spy technologies series, these tunes were played by raiden, optiv, dieselboy, loxy, limewax, spl and the panacea among others.
in 2007 offkey recordings released proket's first extended player it was called apocrypha ep, this included guta, skafandr, kaskad and show me- all four tracks became known as proket's best work so far and truly catapulted him into the limelight.
the definition that proket applies for his sound is schranz..n..bass, by combining the two proket creates his own unique sound that can not be confused with anything else. his output is defining the new wave of techno dnb.
