Water of Life

About Me

I sing & play guitar in Death Cheaters!!! I am also the lead guitarist for Five Fifty(which has a new CD being released in 2006). Check out our site fivefiftymusic.com . I've been known to play bass on occasion and even sing, if the mood strikes. I do recording and production with various punk rock bands in the Lansing area. The studio where I record is the Guano Room. I produced a CD for Gaytar which was just voted the 3rd best CD of 2005 for Lansing. I love to surround myself in music as well as sitting in and jamming with other musicians from time to time. I'm a very social person and truly enjoy the night life. Feel free to say,"Hello". ..This profile was edited with Thomas' myspace editor™ V2.5

My Interests

A certain lady, singing, playing guitar, songwriting, recording bands, whiskey, sashimi and the moment of now. All these things in various order. Anything that can put a smile on a face(especially the ones that come from the darkest places).

I'd like to meet:

I know her.

Music:

THE INGHAM COUNTY REGULARS, Pat Travers Band, 100 WATT HEAD, Refused, The Bad Plus, Monster Magnet, Karate, The Cult, Nick Drake, Figures on a Beach, Eric Dolphy, Duane Allman, Shudder to Think, Muse, Built to Spill, Roy Buchanan, Roy Orbison, QOTSA, John Zorn, Archers of Loaf, early Pixies, Dio, Fire Theft, Gerry Rafferty, Ministry(Every Day is Haloween), Battles, Jeff Buckley, Wilco, Ornette Coleman, The Caustic Pop(Narc Out The Reds), anything Chris Baratono writes, The Who(saw the very first farewell tour), Antonio Carlos Jobim, and of course Stan Getz, Fugazi,Willie Nelson, John Scofield, King Crimson, Red House Painters, Pink Floyd, Tom Waits, Postal Service, Death Cab for Cutie, Ram Jam, Talk Talk, Funkadelic,Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, and Paul Williams. Not to mention THE GROG TOWERY EXPERIENCE showing off his New Shoes at every show. Yeah you heard me Suck It!!! If you can find Vivian Darkbloom, that holds a special place in my life. It's a pretty dark place to boot.

Movies:

I enjoy movies that delve into the human condition. Raising Arizona(as well as almost every Coen brother's film), 40 Year Old Virgin, Rules of Attraction, Sideways and Napolean Dynamite. I really liked Lolita done by Stanley Kubrick. It was quite painful to watch. Closer had that dark feel to it as well. You can never go wrong with a good Peter Sellers flick. I am patiently awaiting the arrival of Philip K. Dick's, Scanner Darkly, to the silver screen!!!

Television:

Batman(w/ Adam West), Chico and th Man, H.R. Pufnstuf, Ironman, Family Guy, The Courtship of Eddie's Father, The Flip Wilson Show, Soap, Benny Hill, Speed Racer, Hot Fudge, Electric Company & Joanie Loves Chachi. All praise the Fonz!!!

Books:

Choke by Chuck Palahniuk, Razors Edge by W. Somerset Maugham, Lolita by Vladimir Nabokov, Bunnicula

Heroes:

Tony Stark, Neal Cassady & the drummer for Toto. Anyone who comes from the East Coast school of drumming!
