Music, friends, fly fishing, ink, cigars/tobacco, trees, animals, history, esoteria, pontificating... and sleeping. I used to be an anarchist but now that I own shit, I am basically a libertarian.
I have yet to meet a trout I didn't like, but I'd love to meet these:
a wide variety... anything from Art Blakey to Frank Zappa. Some of my all time favorites: Tom Waits, Frank Zappa, Howlin Wolf, X, Jeff Buckley, Bob Marley, Velvet Underground, Iggy Pop, Social Distortion, Clutch, Led Zeppelin, Leadbelly, John Coltrane, Skip James, Johnny Cash, Stevie Wonder, New York Dolls, System Of a Down, Pink Floyd, The Clash and the list goes on and on. I appreciate good music regardless of genre. I'm not impressed with rock stars but rather genius, innovation or simply a good melody. If you really care what I listen to, check out some artists in my friends list.. especially SPIT CAN!! :)

Not much anymore, used to love Sci fi/fantasy (Tolkien, Asimov, Eddings, Anthony) but rarely have time to read. Like the timeless classics (Thoreau, Emerson, Conrad, Hemingway, etc) even went through my pre-requisite Kerouac/Burroughs/Bukowski phase. Now mostly read about current events. Hunter S. Thompson's corpse for President (it'd do a better job than our current asshole)!
Ganesh has always given me alot of inspiration.... I love religious works as metaphors, but fear them as dogma. As for true heroes....My Dad, HL Mencken, Joseph Campbell, Hunter S Thompson, Bill Hicks, oh so many more....Mostly my closest friends. I admire integrity especially in the face of adversity. oh, and of course...
