This bird has a medical condition and needs to be found.From: phylwrg Date: Nov 28 2006 2:00 PMMy son took Chico outside to show him off to my daughters cheerleading team, after he was told that chico was due for a wing trim, and chico got spooked and flew away, and for the first time ever, he shut up and wouldn’t say anything. we looked all night for him, but he was gone. chico is a lilac crown amazon measuring about 12 inches tall from head to tail. he has a very dark red and lilac head with a green body and dark blue and red on the tips of spot where the crest does not grow due to a bad scratch he had when we got him. he was not banded or micro chip. he can sing the andy griffith theme song. he tries to sing twinkle twinkle little star with you. his favorite sayings are, "momma", "where'd everybody go", "i want to go", "hang up the phone", and I frequently tell the kids "I'd run away but i got no where to go", and so he also says that and alot of other chatter we cant make out. we have dial up internet, and his perch stand is by the computer so he also dials up, lol. chico does not respond to his name, although we were trying to teach him. please let me know if you have heard from someone in el paso about a found amazon. their is a post on 911parrot, but the phone number is no good. he has been gone for 15 days and so i think he could get that far by now. please message me if you have found him, even if you think you see him fly by. he is very friendly, but may be scared, since he is very scared of the dark. if you use a stick and place it next to his chest and tell him "step up", he will hop on.
