MayDay has taken his personal DJ accomplishments and skills to help create a unique sound called SelekSoundCrew. MayDays real name, Des Maynard has been involved in music practically his entire life, and was finally motivated by Kingjyrus to set up his own crew in December 2004. In May 2004, MayDay mixed his first dancehall CD entitled Steppin Up Di Game which sold pretty well in Halifax, Canada, and Bahamas. In early 2005, MayDay made guest appearances at Club Fluid every Friday in Nassau Bahamas to play alongside the legendary DJ Flava and upcoming DJ Frances.
