I'm 19, bein playing bass guitar for 5 yrs (and loving it!), I love music and I love playing music....
The name "BassMan" comes from a night of heavy abuse on the body when I imagined that the Bass Guitar came from "Outer-Bass" (as in Outer-Space)lol and all the Bass Guitarists were BassMen, hence the name "BassMan" :D.
I've played in 10 bands over my musical career - if u wanna call it that lol - and if u can sit here and read about every single one of them ur either: bored beyond any sort of reasoning, actually interested in the bands i've been in or u'll just look at the band names and most likely move on to somebodyelses profile..
I was in my first band around the end of year 9 (2002), about 6 months after i started playing. We were called "BFN" - "The Beer Flavoured Nipples" good fun, bad musicians (not just them either!) but a good experience none-the-less :D.
Then came the first gig, still all average musicians but a different band to play at "Westside Arts" (2002) We had no name and there were 3000 ticket holders staring at us on stage in my first live performance! I was shittin myself!!! The gig was a success but we had a student choir singing for us, the drummer n guitarist stuck together and i was put into another band..
"Fantasia" (late 2002-2003/yr10) was my next musical adventure, joining 2 female vocalist 1 female vocals/piano and a male drumer (whos was a fkn awesome drummer!) . This became my first serious band/learning curve. We played heaps of lunchtime and night gigs at school, gigs at keilor downs plaza and split after the 3 vocalists yr 12 music exams..
In Early 2004/yr 11 I rejoined the guitarist and drummer from the Westside Arts Band (2002) and got a vocalist (Grantus) forming "100% Cotton" who became "Side FX" who became "Red Dawn" (2004-2005/yr12), and joined 2 female vocals, male guitarist and male drummer called "Metamorphosis" who became "Dilemma" who became "Level Twenty7". Playing at 2LOUD '04/05, Push Start '04/05, Westside Arts 2004 (Red Dawn), several gigs at the Barley Corn Hotel (Red Dawn) and split after our yr12 exams in '05.
'05/06 gave birth to grant playing guitar and in late '05 we formed "Immortality" with a new drummer and 2nd guitarist, this only lasted til early '06 due to the 2nd guitarist "not feeling it anymore." And on the night of the break-up we found a new 2nd guitarist (Pete),
"Purple Haze" We played alot in this band, mostly at the Barley Corn Hotel, we won the NCBC (Uni) Battlle Of the Bands at the Ruby Bar, Highpoint and played the 2nd round at the Corner Hotel, Richmond. We had recorded a 4-track demo and were pretty popular with the audiences wherever we played. Unfortunately this band ended due to complications with the drummer not coming to rehearsals.
Sep '06-Jan '07 were the days of "The Revival". We cut all the songs from Purple Haze and got a new drummer (Luke). We only went through the writing phase of the band but we were rockin 4 times a week in rehearsal reviving old school Rock 'N Roll with a new kick to it! Unfotunately the band seperated due to issues between band members.

'07 gave birth to "Common Ground" a Fusion Rock 3-piece from the western suburbs of Melbourne. We are still rockin, lookin for gigs, and we cant wait to get our music out in2 the world =D
I'm living life n concentrating on my music at the same time, but meeting new ppl is fun so message or comment me if u want :D
