Any old friends from high school or college who want to reconnect. New friends too; as long as you're not totally batshit.
I'm on Facebook as well and I probably check it more often.
I mostly listen to hip-hop, electronic music (especially drum & bass and downtempo), and rock (especially classic). Other genres like r&b, jazz, soul, funk, and pop get some play too though.
My five favorite albums of all time are:
(1) A Tribe Called Quest - Midnight Marauders
(2) The Roots - Do You Want More?!!!??!
(3) The Pharcyde - Bizarre Ride II The Pharcyde
(4) Tenacious D - Tenacious D
(5) Daft Punk - Discovery
I mostly go to see sci-fi flicks, comic book adaptations (since I'm a huge comic fanboy), and comedies in the theater. I usually watch other genres like suspense, drama, and documentary on cable or DVD.
My taste in television can pretty much be broken down into three major categories: sci-fi, suspense, and comedy. For example: Battlestar Galactica, Eureka, The 4400, Smallville, Lost, Prison Break, It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia, The Office, Chappelle's Show, Adult Swim, etc.
I also regularly watch Attack of the Show on G4 and occasionally check out comedies from the UK, Asian dramas, anime, and NOVA on PBS .
I absolutely love science fiction but I make sure to partake of other fiction sub-genres. As long as it has an interesting premise, believable characters, and makes me think, I have no complaints.
I also like to read non-fiction concerning many different topics. I'll pretty much read anything that peeks my interest. In particular, I really enjoy math, science, and math and science history books.
