Borne out of a dream. The name that is and the goal. Composed of Brian Jeff Sombero(Vocals,Guitars) Julius Masibay (Drums) Aying Sayson (Guitars) Bernard Perez (Bass).Formed early of August 2003, Menaya, united by a strong bond of friendship and shared musical taste decided to give it a go as a band. Several jams and beer sessions later the band decided to make music, their music. Musical influences include Dave Matthews Band, Jack Johnson, Ben Harper, Maroon 5, The Police, Sublime, 311, John Mayer, Bob Marley amongst others. To date they have produced "What if" "Pagbalik" "Canon Gurl" and "Life's a Play" resulting in a unique fusion of their styles and inspiration.In between songwriting (their current focus)....Menaya has performed at several gigs which include Livestock at 70's Bistro , with Bamboo on their fans day at Metro Bar, Oktoberfest events and regular gigs in bars such as Xaymaca , Alterednative etc... Menaya also placed 2nd at the 2004 RX Band Breakout and was a finalist at the Yamaha Asian Beat last 2003.
