Blunted Presents

Having being actively involved in the Oxford Hip-Hop scene for many years now, organising events and club-nights has led us to discover the talent from Oxford that would otherwise go unnoticed. Along with others dedicated to all the elements of Hip-Hop, from break-dancers to producers and graffiti artists, we decided to push ourselves and the scene forward.

Blunted are a collection of familiar people doing what we enjoy and passing on the good word, encouraging people to stand up and be noticed, whilst making people look deeper into Oxford, beyond its classic architecture and academic connotations.

At this stage, we have a built a community, a busy weblog and forum a club night has been set-up to bring in and showcase local talent; we have formed a break-dancing crew (OxRoc), and facilitated the release of Oxford artists music. The ideals behind Blunted now expand far beyond just Hip-Hop. Blunted is a resource for the Oxford underground music scene, now representing Funk, Soul and breaks to Drum & Bass at our nights and in turn through our website.

Blunted Presents main aim now is to collaborate with Oxford djs, crews, emcees, producers and friends get something out of their computers, decks and heads and onto something real. Blunted Presents is here to facilitate the movement of good local (and not so local) music to the masses.
