19 year old jazz bass player, both Upright and Electric Bass, I'm at Birmingham Conservatoire at the moment studying jazz performance. Playing for 11 years now. Performed with John Hollenbeck, Pete Churchill, Nikki Iles, Gary Versace, Neal Thornton, Sally Burgess, Dave Holland Conservatoire band, Mike Gibbs Big Band to name a few. Studying with Arnie Somogyi and Mark Hodgson. Otherwise gig's here and there for whoever's booking me! I've grown up in a very musical family and always been exposed to great music, primarily influenced by Dave Holland, Charles Mingus, Sam Jones, Christian McBride, NHOP, Ray Brown, Ron Carter, Reggie Workman, Gary Peacock and Charnett Moffet on the bass side of things, and more generally Dizzy, Coltrane, Parker, Monk, Oscar Peterson, Jarret, Bill Evans, Freddie Hubbard, Art Blakey, McCoy, Rosenwinckel, Mark Turner, Binney, Okasaki, Eric Reevis, Tain, Blade, Wayne Shorter.
