My biological mother was named Ifalna, and she was a full-blooded Cetra. She met Professor Gast from Icicle Inn because he was studying the Cetra. They fell in love and Ifalna gave birth to a baby girl, whom they named Aeris, haha thats me! But something very bad happened. The environmentally destructive corporation called Shinra found out that Ifalna was a Cetra, and they tried to kidnap both her and the newborn me. Shinra wanted us because they believed they were the key to finding the Promised Land, where Neo-Midgar could be built. The Shinra soldiers killed Professor Gast, but Ifalna managed to run away with me. It's generally assumed that Shinra caught them eventually and brought us back to our headquarters in Midgar. Somehow we escaped again and wound up in the Midgar train station. Ifalna was dying -- I suppose Shinra performed some evil experiments on her, or she was traumatized (for good reason) -- but Elmyra Gainsborough, a kind woman from Midgar, walked by, and with her last breath Ifalna asked her to please take care of me.As I got older, Elmyra was surprised by some of my habits... I could predict events, or know about things that no one else did yet. An example of this was when I told Elmyra of her husband's death a few days before Elmyra received the letter about it. These powers were a result of My Cetra heritage. I grew up, avoiding the Shinra and denying my Cetra blood. Eventually I began selling the flowers which grow specially in my church.
And on one not-so-special day, a man with spiky blonde hair came crashing through the roof...♥
