Hmmm, ummm.... where do I start. I s'pose in the beginning will help. Well, in 1982 I was born. Hooray! Two weeks premature I might add, I have issues with patience. Then I lived a peaceful and hassle free, ignorant existence, until when I was 12 the Ukrainian army, in all its wisdom decided to enlist me. Understandably, my parents were not all too thrilled with the idea and off we went to New Zealand. After that came the joy of having to learn English, stupid, stupid language. And having to assimilate to a new culture, make new friends and all the really important stuff necessary for receiving citizenship in a foreign country. I went to high school in Wellington and then I did 2 years of Psychology in Otago. That was long enough for me to realise that I needed to have a brain of my own to be able to help others sort theirs out, so I decided to do Medicine instead. Luckily for me, my parents were moving to the great country of opportunity and freedom of speech called Australia, so I thought to myself, what the hey, and I came with. A new dilemma was facing me in the wonderful country of Australia. So used to living on my own, but now being very street smart, I knew I had no hope in lasting more than a week in Sydney or Melbourne. Perth was too far away (is that even still in Australia?), Brisbane was just too damn hot. And, "Alleluia!" inspiration struck and I got on a plane to Tasmania to begin a whole new chapter in my life. While I have been here for only 4 years, I have gotten to know most of Tasmanian population. It didn't prove too difficult. I have enjoyed all the wonderful things it has offered to me on a silver platter (knock on wood, there is plenty of it in Tasie. Go logging!!!). Wine, steak, nature, women... Yes, in that order. And thanks to Moo brew and Huon Dark ALe, beer also! So now I am in 5th and struggling with all my might against the necessity to start leading an adult life and having to act mature (shudder). Enjoying times with friends and occasional trip home to visit my beloved family (I love you Mum!)I love Tasie, I love Australia! LET THE GOOD TIMES ROLL!!!
