The children that we were entertaining in Mexico don’t have anyone to call mom and dad. It’s very sad to see how in today’s day and age how there is still so much poverty. With the economy the way it is, we shouldn’t have anyone living in a cardboard box, sidewalk or garbage dump. The devastation we witnesses will stay with us forever. On a cold night there was a little boy who took his blanket and crunched it up in a pile next to him in his bed. He then took the corner of the blanket and wrapped it around the back of his neck to his shoulder. After that he was talking to this blanket as if it was his mother. And she had her arm around him keeping him safe and secure. It was more important for this child to fill that feeling of loneliness inside then to stay warm with the blanket. When we gave this child a little Maurice puppet, his eyes light up. He was so happy. A few minutes later, the child came back over to us and handed the little Maurice puppet back. I wasn’t sure why he was giving it back to me. Then I realized that he thought we were just letting him play with it. When I explained to him that it was for him to keep, it was like we gave this kid a million dollars. He took that puppet and held it so tight and ran off with a huge smile on his face.Nothing is more rewarding than to see a smile on a child’s face. My goal in life is to share moments in time with the kids who have nothing. The kids who no one wants to see. The kids who people forget about. To entertain the people who cant afford it. To show those kids someone does love them and care for them. And I want to put a little Maurice in their hands to fill that feeling of loneliness. Please help us!

A Dazzling Team Touches the Inner Child in Everyone They Meet
Popular magical entertainer, Bret Amazzeing and his side kick Maurice are taking control of the hearts of abused, underprivileged, special needs and hospitalized children. They’re passionate about We Share Smiles, their 501(c)(3). Bret Amazzeing’s enthusiasm and positive energy contagiously changes the mood of all those around him thus creating an incomparable experience for children.
Bret and Maurice, his lion puppet, share smiles with abused and underprivileged children to show them someone care. They try to make a difference in their hopefully temporary situation. Special needs children and their families are faced with challenges. Smiles fill their hearts with happiness. Hospitalized children find that laughter helps the healing process. Bret believes that “Smiles Make Illness Less E vident! When I perform, the kids’ eyes fill with delight while their smiles melt my heart! My goal is to raise $1 million dollars and share 10 million smiles!” He’s on his way, thanks to the generosity of Richard Basciano and Jamie Masada of the Laugh Factory in New York City . They have graciously sponsored a special visit to Puerto Vallarta , Mexico. Bret Amazzeing will visit the Refugio Infantil Santa Esperanza, Pasitos de Luz (a center for severely handicapped children in Pitillal), a school in La Cruz, other area orphanages and hospitals. Bret and Maurice will enterain, share smiles and distribute 250 Little Maurice hand puppets. A positive emotional state is anchored to Little Maurice creating a lifetime memory. Puppets are emotional translators.
Bret became a unique performer when Maurice became his right hand man. Bret breathes life into Maurice with his masterful puppetry. They’ve performed internationally.
