About Me

Where do I begin? Well, let's see: I have a great sense of humor (though it IS morbid at times), I'm outgoing, but I can be quiet too...I listen well, I observe well, and I'm an overall nice person. I enjoy helping people. I have laughed at someone's misfortune (nothing too malicious), but mainly I laugh at myself. I'm not hurtful, but I know I can be mean sometimes. I'm smart (great with math and computers, but that doesn't really dictate intelligence), and I like being smart. I'm not a know-it-all, just confident in what brain power I was blessed with (and yes, I ended my sentence with a preposition). I'm a good speller, and I've learned to write well (because I used to suck!). I love love love dance, as well as color guard. I enjoy being active, but there are days that I enjoy sitting home and either reading a good book or watching some TV (which turns out to be mostly movies because there aren't a whole lot of TV programs I like).

My Interests

Dancing, theater, reading, karaoke, movies, good food, dancing, football, swimming, dancing, scapbooking, air hockey, video games (I LOVE to watch people play video games, but I'm not really a player myself), karaoke, dancing, animals, amusement parks (LOVE those roller coasters!), bungy jumping, color guard, surfing the net, chatting, and did I mention dancing and karaoke?

I'd like to meet:

Music:

Rush is where it's at!! Love Rush! After that, mostly Top 40 stuff and just plain 'ole rock, but I do like classic rock, alternative stuff (is it really alternative anymore?), some hip-hop, some rap, and even one or two country songs. I also like classical music, disco, 80's, and even some house.

And I think karaoke fits under music...I love to karaoke!

Movies:

Way too many!!! Grease, Dirty Dancing, any dancing movie (like Centerstage, Save the Last Dance), Xanadu, everything funny (like Dodgeball, Wedding Crashers, Joe Dirt, Eurotrip, Roadtrip, anything Adam Sandler, Team America, South Park), but I also like action and horror. The only horror flicks I can't really handle are the supernatural ones based on true stories (Amityville the Horror, The Entity). The Ring was great, but it scared me so bad I haven't been able to watch it again! I really don't know how I got through it the first time. I also like sci-fi, especially alien type movies; though Signs seriously freaked me out! I was seeing aliens in my bedroom for weeks! I loved the first Matrix, but 2 and 3 made me sad. They were good, but they just didn't have whatever the first one had. I have a special place for Rocky Horror Picture Show, and all the Monty Python movies. I also like Kill Bill 1 & 2. And lastly, for now, would be Lord of the Rings...what more can I say?

Television:

South Park, Survivor, Amazing Race, X-files, Stargate (and Atlantis), 4400, and Adult Swim. Usually when I turn on the TV, I look for a movie to watch :).

Books:

I love Lord of the Rings (and The Hobbit), Harry Potter, Wuthering Heights, Jane Eyre, Siddhartha, Metamorphasis, Wrinkle in Time series, Canterbury Tales, MacBeth (not really a book, but I thought I'd put it here), all fairy tales, Interview with a Vampire series (though I could have stopped after Queen of the Damned), Dune (again, I could have stopped after the 3rd book), The Claiming of Sleeping Beauty series by Anne Rice (so hot!), and Stephen King's Dark Tower series. I also love the Wheel of Time series by Robert Jordan....just...wow...it's great! Kushiel's Legacy series by Jacqueline Carey is wonderful (and hot!), as is Memoirs of a Geisha. Ghost Rider, The Masked Rider, and Roadshow: Lanscape with Drums, all by Neil Peart, are fantastic books...I highly recommend Ghost Rider. Currently I am reading The Lord of Chaos, the 6th novel in the Wheel of Time series and Kite Runner by Kohled Hosseini. And yes, I finished the 7th Harry Potter in 9hrs...

Heroes:

Ever watched Super Friends? In all seriousness, my heroes are those that inspire me, and cause me to think and learn.

Random Things

It's emotionally draining when dealing with death and taking care of others. I am not a trained dancer. Oh, I have a natural affinity for music in the way my body moves, but I'm not a trained dancer. ...
