About Me

Hello -

I'm have a Bachelor of Science degree in Botanical Medicine and study complimentary healing modalities. My primary focus is Western Herbalism. Plants are cool! I've also studied Ayurveda, Traditional Chinese Medicine, Aromatherapy, and a bit of Homeopathy. I've been in this field for ten years.

I'm very ecologically minded. The health of the planet effects the health of the people!

I'm a mom, and am going to school for nursing prerequisites at this time. I hope to become a nurse practitioner and incorporate my botanical studies into western medicine. I'm very busy and don't have much computer 'play' time. Although myspace is addictive and I seem to be on more these days!

I am very outgoing and social, and love a party. Laughter is a necessity in life.

I love camping and going to the hot springs.

My Interests

I am interested in Natural Childbirth, Mothercare, and Childcare. I believe Western Medicine, while when used appropriately can be lifesaving, is also generally too invasive and fear based. There are many gentle, natural, and supportive things that can be tried first, before heroic medicine is warranted.

I have a dog and three cats, and love animals.

I am interested in ecologically minded business and all the details that make it work.

I love music.

I enjoy the arts and entertainment of all kinds.

An awesome, female independent artist who released her first record at the age of 19. From there she has built up Righteous Babe Records without selling out and producing all of her own records. She is a recording maniac and has put out seventeen albums, three EP's, and two DVD's in the last twelve years. An incredible powerhouse of a woman, and she's only 5'2".

Television:

American Idol ... a loyal fan for seven seasons! Deadwood, Lost, 24, the Nine (canceled, bummer!), the Deadliest Catch, Mythbusters, the Alaska Experience! I used to watch Friends .... Unfortunately (or fortunately depending on how you look at it), I get bored with T.V. pretty quickly, so if its not interesting, I'm not interested. Its amazing how much crap is on. No shopping channel for me, thanks.

However I do like comedy!This guy is pretty funny ...

Eye of the World series by Robert Jordan, I also liked Ender's Game and Speaker for the Dead. I have Xenocide around here somewhere, I guess I'll read that soon. Mostly I have books on herbs and healthcare.
