I was destine to be a music producer ever since I started playing the saxophone in the 6th grade. I met a few of my life long (musician) friends when I got to jr. high school. We then decided to form a band (14 karat), and soon afterwards, found ourselves performing at most of the post school activities. I also continued to sharpen my musical skills, especially by learning how to play keys. After high school (for which I attended Suitland High), I attended the first ever saxophone symposium, sponsored through Boston Univ. & the Tanglewood Inst. (summer of 1980). Afterwards, I played with a few of the local bands around the DC area. In 1990, my mom purchased my first digital keyboard (Korg M1) & later that year, a Tascam DA30 dat recorder. These new pieces of gear inspired me get my recording career started. I now have a fully equipped digital home studio that has some of the latest gear like the Akai MPC4000, Korg Triton Rack, Ensoniq ASR-10, Kurzweil K2500RS & Helicon Voice Prism for example, that'll help accomplish any musical expression or idea that comes to mind. I also wanted to mention that our former bass player Dwayne "Smitty" Smith resides in the L.A. area now and has a new album. Check him out @ www.smittysmithbass.com. And finally, I have to give the utmost props to my writing partners, Avery & Ralph. Together we're a force to be reckoned with. So sit back and enjoy some of the funky, jazzy selections that I've posted here for you. I also do beats & scores for projects. So if you need anything, drop me a line: (
