My general interests would be anything to do with the film industry. I use to enjoy just watching movies until I took film classes in High School, ever since I analyze, edit and rewrite them as I watch them. To date, the only film I couldn’t figure out in the first 15 minutes is Deathtrap. That film was a roller coaster ride from the start and was so much fun to watch. My goal is to write a film that makes me say “wow, that was great†as the credits roll.
Anyone with $500,000 - million! Got films to make :-) ***SUPPORT A FILMMAKER - BUY A TICKET***
My musical interests are all over the place. When I’m writing I love to listen to musical scores, although listening to Neil Diamond the other night got me past a tough spot in the script – stop laughing! I hate today’s pop stuff, it’s all the same, and please keep the emo stuff away from – emo and some country make me want to drown myself. Love most metal stuff, classic rock and even some of Nick Cave’s stuff – although some of it is just a bit to weird for me. My Ipod has a little bit of everything on it. *UPADTE: Well a friend told me to check out Johnny Gimble & Bob Wills and I did and I do like some of it, so I guess I can add old-time country swing to my list.
I have too many favorites to list. I love all genre of film.My favorite shot from a film is in Silence of the Lambs where the cop is hanging from the cage, the composition is awesome. My favorite line is from Tiptoes when Maurice tells Lucy “marriage is for morons, it turns lovers into relativesâ€, classic! My favorite scene is a tie; the end of Primal Fear when Martin finds out the truth about Aaron/Roy and Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back when Jay is fantasying about Justice. I would like to write a screenplay as complex as Memento and American Psycho.
I LOVE DEXTER [Showtime], also like House & Shark!!!
My taste in books is pretty diverse. I love just about everything. My favorite book is Mists of Avalon by Marion Zimmer Bradley, I’m a sucker for anything involving the Arthurian Legend. I enjoyed reading Blindess by Jose Saramago once I got used to the style. Just too many to list.
My son, he doesn’t let anything or anyone tell him he can’t do something. I’m learning from him every day.
