Well, my crazy misadventures and search for self (i.e. my 20's) took me all over the country and I landed in Chicago. I think this city is great. I bust my intellectual butt writing grants for arts organizations. It's a new thing, this grant business, but I'm taking to it like a fish to water. It's the first time in a long time that I'm able to use all the parts of my brain instead of taking one section and trying to pick at it, twist it and turn it into a different kind of sensibility. For that reason alone, I think I just might be successful at it. I live with my uber-wonderful boyfriend of two years. He's the yin to my yang. Or I'm the yang to his yin... Whatever the case, we seem to fill in the gaps with each other and when together, are an unstoppable force. I couldn't be happier.
