RASHIIDAH (DAINTY BUT DEADLY!!)

ON THAT PHILLY MUSLIMAH GRIND YA HEARD.. - As.Salaamu.Alaikum.. Peace and Hotep... The name is Rashiidah, and I am just a simple muslim trying to uphold and maintain the Deen of Islam. I am here looking to meet as many Muslimah's as possible. I think that being around those who are deenin like u helps keep your Iman on point. I come from a large family, I have 2 brothers Luqman and Khaleel, a sister Saffiyah and my brother who should have been my blood brother cuz we just that tight, Shawn Ali Al' Sharrieff... I am a lover of hip hop and R and B, Jazz, and Soul.. I am trying to get back in the studio to work on my album that i postponed for like 2 years now which is so stressful. Inshalllah it will happen soon.. I am a wriiter and a poet so look out for my blogs, but overall i am fairly new to this Myspace thing, so please feel free top hit a sista up... They went into the jewerly store and started to look at the jewerly. At that moment one of Zakiya's friends asked her. " Zakiya why do Muslim women cover the way they do?". Zakiya thought for a moment. She wanted to explain to her friend in a way she could understand. She looked at the jewelry for a brief moment and then an idea came to her. She turned to her friend and said " Look at the jewelry. You see how the cheap Jewelry is out for people to touch? They can try it on and then when they are done with it they put it back and move on to the next piece?". Zakiya's friend nodded her head. Zakiya continued " And you see how the more expensive jewelry is locked behind glass doors? You can only get to it if you have a key. And you only allowed to touch and admire its beauty if the door is unlocked?". Zakiyas friend nodded her head once again. Zakiya said " Well Muslim woman are like Jewelry behind the glass. We are not to be tried on and then put back when the person is done with it. A Muslim woman is not treated like a piece of cheap jewelry. We are the expensive jewerly. You have to have permission to admire our beauty and touch us. We are not out for display. We have respect for ourselves and you can not come near us unless you the key". Zakiya's friend looked at her for a moment and thought about what she had just heard. She looked down at what she was wearing and she felt naked. She felt like the cheap piece of jewelry on display. She looked at Zakiya and saw her long loose flowing clothing. She started to wonder why she wasnt like expensive jewelry. She looked at Zakiya and said " Tell me more...."Moral of this Story: Muslim Women you are Indeed Beautiful. Dont feel different because you look different. You are a Woman of Respect and Dignity..
