Music (Electronic, Classical, New Age, some cross-overs with Jazz), movies (primarily horror, but a galaxy of different genres besides), books (some Sci-Fi, thrillers, classics), hiking in our great Canadian outdoors, messing around with my digital camera, and occassionaly plunking out a tune on my keyboards, and cooking (nobody's died from mine yet).
That's a toughie: maybe horror movie director, John Carpenter. Perhaps that scarey multi-instrumentalist, Mike Oldfield... or maybe just those single-celled organisms from which all life on Earth evolved (again, it's a toughie).
Fav artists include Mike Oldfield, David Sylvian, Brian Eno, New Order/Joy Division, Harold Budd, BT, Sasha, Mussorgsky, and Mozart (yeah, THAT guy).
Favs include Jaws, Deep Throat, The Thing (1982 version), The Wicker Man (the 1973 version -- not that stupid remake), the Star Wars series (yes, even the prequels), and King Kong (1933 and 2005 versions)... nothing terribly intellectual, although I do dig Fellini's and Welles' films quite a bit.
The new Battlestar Galactica (okay, I'm addicted), Firefly/Serenity (yeah, I'm a Browncoat), House M.D., The Prisoner, Mystery Science Theatre 3000, most Star Trek (haven't watched Enterprise), CSI, CSI: Miami, and Lost.
"Foucault's Pendulum" by Umberto Eco, "Perfume" by Patrick Suskind, "The Neverending Story" by Michael Ende, "Beowulf", "Moonfleet" by J. Meade Falkner, "The Double Hook" by Sheila Watson, the Ringworld series by Larry Niven, "More Than Human" by Theodore Sturgeon, and the Rama series by Arthur C. Clarke.
John Waters and Saint Augustine of Hippo (now THERE is a combination you won't find everyday, folks).
