Love is the big booming beat which covers up the noise of hate. - Margaret Cho

About Me

Permanently restless, I wander the world looking for new experiences.
I love to travel, but don't get to do it enough. I want to climb Kili some day, but I don't know why I want to. Mount Kenya is supposed to be far more beautiful, and I'm not really into things that are physically challenging. But I still want to, mostly cause I like the name, I guess.
I lived in Uganda for six months, but I never read "Gorillas in the Mist" because I couldn't afford to go gorilla trecking. I will go back someday and read the book when I have more money. My blog of my african adventures is Island Girl Abroad . Its inactive at the moment, but someday I will put up the pictures I took in Kenya. And someday I will go adventuring again.
In the mean time, here are some of my pictures from Uganda.I'm from PEI, and I love it! I want to build a little cottage in the country and have weekend long parties where I will feed my amazing chili to all my friends and have bands playing all night long.
I hate winter, but I love storm days. I love to curl up and read all day and go nowhere and play cards with my sisters and not feel guilty for being unproductive. I shall do this more even when it doesn't storm.
I once went skinny-dipping in a lightning storm. Don't try this at home kids! (A lot of things sound like a good idea after a few glasses of wine, and so long as I don't die, these things become some of my best memories!)
I write bad poetry, and sometimes I even show it to people. I'm trying to write something longer, a novel I guess, but I'm lazy so instead I just write fictionalized journal entries. If anyone ever reads my journal, they'll think I have multiple personalities.
I work at Wyatt Heritage Properties. Its fun and boring as on any given day I could be doing accounting or helping out with a kids art class.
I love music, any kind, as long as its good. I love that my town is filled with amazing musicians, and I go to see them play every chance I get. Check out some of the amazing bands on my friend list!

My Interests

Travelling, dancing, tree-climbing, playing on swings, hiking, biking, reading, poetry, internet, friends, frivolity!
You Are a Mermaid
You are a total daydreamer, and people tend to think you're flakier than you actually are.
While your head is often in the clouds, you'll always come back to earth to help someone in need.
Beyond being a caring person, you are also very intelligent and rational.
You understand the connections of the universe better than almost anyone else. What Mythological Creature Are You?

I'd like to meet:

Anyone who is willing to find the joy in life and grasp it tightly with both hands. People who still play on swingsets. Tree climbing partners. Barstool philosophers. Travellers and gyspsies. Poets and Rogues. And most especially, PIRATES!!!

My Blog

Near-death experience, or thank god I'm not a rock star!

So, today I was walking down Granville in S'side, slowly, because of all the ice. I saw a blue SUV backing out, so I stopped to let him go (even though it was my right-of-way). Anyway, he stopped, and...
